Exploring Public Art in Columbia, MO

As Otocast approaches it's ten year anniversary, we look back at some of the great partnerships we have developed with arts and culture communities around North America - and even a bit beyond!

Public Art in Columbia, Missouri is managed by the Office of Cultural Affairs, under the leadership of Sarah Dresser, with whom we have been working since 2014.  With Sarah's direction, we created an initial guide to a variety of art in and around the city, reaching out to the artists to have them provide custom narrative to enhance the viewing experience.

The Office of Cultural Affairs even created a video to highlight their collection and the ease-of-use of the Otocast app.  You can see the video below:

Over the year's we have increased the collection to about 40 works of art and more recently have created two additional non-art guides, one for the Columbia Tree Trail, and the other for the African American Heritage Trail.

The public art collection, and the Otocast app were recently featured in the April, 2023 edition of COMO magazine, and we are excited to continue and grow this great relationship!
